sleepover is over?
cut and edited (a lot) by JOHN =D
date:-20/4/2007-21/4/2007
time:-night time?
venue:-Yaw's palace
occasion:-GRYG a.k.a God's Radical Young Girls sleepover =p
ok fine..maybe that was lame..well,that's cause i have no idea how to start the blog..i tried being formal, but it's so not my style =p anyway..the night started out quite late..before reaching the Yaw's place..some of us came from church and we dropped by at the ProJet to get some stuff to stuff our face with later.reached Yaw's place...and we were warmly welcomed =)really thank you so much for opening up your house for us crazy bunch to sleepover =)
and so we started off with...eating..yes..that's right..we had junk food..maggi mee and Steph's mum made raisins bread for us too!..so we ate,and ate,and ate(the girls are gonna kill me for this)..until it was time to go down to the room..this is where all the fun started...can you believe that Christine and i danced to Christmas thing?anything for entertainment..and Kristina was playing judge and all..Deborah danced too..then we almost,ALMOST get to see Debbie and mama bear dance, but something happened.
I heard man's voices while the dog was braking wildly into the silent night.told them to keep quiet..so i can hear properly to confirm but girls being girls, they couldn't stop giggling,so i told them "i heard man's voice"..in a blink of eye,all of them screamed and jumped on the bed..ahhh entertainment to MY eyes =p was I imagining it?hmm Debbie and Deborah heard voices too earlier on...then Felicia Y "entertained" us with stories of robberies in her nieghbourhood and cases of slashing parangs and nitrogen explosion..which got some of us really scared?but hehe being God's Radical Young Girls..we encouraged each other that God will protect us,and at least we have each other.then Christine promoted her Picitonary..more like Ju Ping's Pictionary..but not everyone was interested.
then we played a game, better than Pictionary,a game that guys can never be caught playing during their sleepover or they'll be called sissies =p,a game that's like the best ever.nope,it's not Barbie dolls or masak-masak. we played "Spin the drum stick" =) but thanks to this game,it's where we really "berbonding",more like pillow talk.=)
what time did the guys sleep? 3 am?what?!let me hear it again...3 am?!!!..though some of the girls were knocked out by 4am or so..our winner is deborah/debbie..5 something!yay yay..both the Felicias were on the bed with jenn, while the rest just snuggle around the bed,in their mattresses/sleeping bags.
i woke up to birds chirping in my ears (cause i slept near the window)..when i woke up,i was like "where am i?what's this beautiful place?can this be the palace of my future prince?is this it?" then i heard SOMEONE snoring into my ears..and i'm like.."right..sleepover" everyone moved around, got cleaned up,showered, then off to devo.
we did the parable of the Rich Man.we went into deeper talk.abt being each other's Sister's Keeper =) and learning that we should keep our eyes on God,not let anything else hinder us.we have to surrender every part of our lives to God,let it be our studies, our decisions or finding the perfect guy, just everything!and also with God all things are possible.
then we had breakfast...we had nasi lemak, toast egg sandwhich,home-made soya bean and mee...yea..really thank God for the good hospitality =) yummy full brunch!before we bid farewell,we presented the Yaws with a gift, and prayed for them, then Joe came,(and ate some of the mee..hehe)we're off to church for YA!
all in all,i would say this is a great sleepover.though i wished there were more girls..but still,we had great fellowship!
something like this again soon?
and a shoutout:-
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TEH JU PING!!!=) and BRYAN SENG and JEFFERY CHUA and APRIL birthdays!

Sleepover! (guys)
We ate a lil after service and head back to church for fellowship. It is indeed nice to have Pastor Peter and Pastor Nirhal to join us for a time of games and fellowship.
I expected more younger generation people (those that knows no sleep) to join. But it turns out that there were more older ones there. Well, anyway, We played pictionary, well indeed we use action. Playing that game is kinda tough because the words given were pretty easy -_- I have to choose some hard ones. And playing with Matthew and all is harder also. Because the words that are medium and hard he don't know. The one that are easy were too easy.
That was done and the winner team was Matthew, Aaron, Pastor Nirhal and Johanan. NICE! After that some of them played scrabble and many played the game of life. It is interesting. I played neither. Just rested a while, chat with Pastor Peter a while.. Chat with Johanan on the bulletin board. And that was it.
3AM lights off! yep we went to bed and Joe got his own inflatable air bed. I slept on the floor. Dinesh was coughing non-stop. A symphony of orchestra was playing every corner of the room. and variations non-stop. I don't really bother. TOO TIRED hahaha. Some can't really sleep. Were there tiny friends? Of course not.. they're good pets they stay in toilets. so girls...Church is not haunted with them.
The next morning... 8AM devotion O.o we did a proverbs and we did everyone think and have a bit of devotion thoughts. I like that. Then we decided to eat MCd for breakfast because it is rare occasion. We ate there. After that I had to rush off do some work. The guys went and watch NEMO hahaha I arrived when the show ended.
My verdict? I like sleepovers haha although I am too old and my bones are too fragile, But it is still fun. CHURCH is really comfortable to sleep in the air-con does get cold in the morning though. DUH!
Alright maybe we'll hear reports from the girls next week huh. ;)

Freebies... *but please don't abuse*
I was struggling to post this up actually, but since not many people visit here often (which they should instead of friendstering)
There a lot of sermon uploaded by our agent in Sydney. But before I throw in the link,
Note :
1) These Materials aren't cheap. They cost really really a lot. Please do not take and distribute burn and distribute around without asking me first. I will determine whether it is necessary or not.
2) It takes lots of man hour to upload the files to the internet. Many thanks to Eastlyn, when you see her online, thank her. Else you can just sms it to her Maxis number.
3) Take and appreciate the material and the effort. Do not take anything for granted. Due to heavy traffic at times, the website might be slow. Do not complain because it takes twice that speed to put it online. Do remember that.
Now the link

Grypers Abroad 2
-----------------------------------------------
Aloha GRYP and the ohana of hosanna,
On the islands of Hawaii, ohana is the word for family and I thought it appropriate for the true identification of HPA’s youth. Asked to write something about my experiences here, I chose instead to write about what I’ve learned. No matter where you are, no matter when I’ve felt alone, which may be familiar to a lot of college kids today, the truth is that not once have I ever been alone. Just ask Jesus.
I’m currently attending New Hope Fellowship church here on beautiful Oahu. We are a dynamic and outgoing church, and in fact, the fastest growing church in America currently. New Hope holds services of up to 12,000 people on a single weekend. Although we don’t have our own church building, our services are held in one of the biggest high school gyms on the island. Nearly half of our congregation are homeless. Our church will house as many as they can during the night, but even so, a few hundred have to deal with finding places to sleep on the streets. One of the reasons for why we don’t own a building is because the majority of funds head to shelter the homeless. We figure better for them to have one than us. This has been a burning issue in my heart ever since I’ve moved here, and would just like to share this with you.
The church recently held many food buffets for them, and just seeing the joy of the church helping out is incredible. Even the homeless have feelings and just want to be secured and loved. A lot of them were successful and had families before, but some lost all of that in days. They live currently lost, many just stroll the streets the whole day. Drunk off alcohol, high on drugs, and abusing themselves. However this was why we were created, to be soldiers for Christ, to be disciples of the gospels, to bring justice to the entire world, to reach out to save the lost. Therefore as an encouragement, Malaysia too has its share of poverty. Give as much as you can afford, give as much as your heart can warrant, give to make an impact on someone. And as all of you know, God has a soft spot for people who give. Your returns will be literally out of this world.
Following the iheartrevolution, just in case some of you don’t know what it’s about, it was basically created as an outreach program by the infamous Hillsong Church. The leader of this, Joel Houston, and his crew have had such a deep passion for using their resources to reach the poorest and the least of nations.
“We live in a broken world. A world where over two thirds of the population live in poverty. A world that's crying out for answers - a world that's crying out for hope. The time to act is now. We can't rely on governments for change; we must be the ones to carry that responsibility. THIS is our mandate: to change the world. The 'I Heart Revolution' is a DVD documentary made by Hillsong United highlighting what's happening in our world today. We believe it's through worship that we touch the heart of God and through the eyes and experiences of Hillsong United we'll be challenged to see the need and moved to do something about it as they bring worship to nations around the globe.
Let's act.
Let's start a revolution.
"The revolutionary kingdom of God is here - advancing by reconciliation and peace; expanding by faith, hope, and love, beginning with the poorest and the least. It's time to change your thinking - be part of the REVOLUTION."
In addition to all of that, it doesn’t mean that you have to attend Hillsong or live in Sydney to be part of this. There is a time for all of us to start thinking about not just your church or our church, but the people that don’t know the church the way we know it. Of course, church is never boring, its fun, its radical, its hysterical, its awesome, its touching, its moving, and it’s Jesus. But your classmate next to you in school, your bus driver, your cousin, your best friend might not know that, and the time is now for you to act. It doesn’t have to be a homeless guy for it to be awesome, for what was that verse again? Oh yeah, for whoever receives salvation, all of heaven and its angels praise!
Come on guys! We are in a generation and a time where there are massive amounts of opportunities to do something, anything to extend the Kingdom of God. We have to be this generation that is able to do more than any generation has ever done. We have to be that generation that doesn’t feel weird or awkward to express our worship towards God. To express our heart for the lost.
“It’s not about highlighting the darkness.
It’s about becoming the light that diminishes the darkness.
It’s the gospel, and it is now.”
My challenge to whoever feels the same, take the time now to follow this, to learn this concept of the “iheartrevolution”. Love definitely has lost a lot of its impact in this world today. It may be from boy band pop songs, romantic comedy movies, and of course all of that isn’t wrong. But what I’m trying to say is that there’s so much more to love than that. All of us have had someone that has died for us. Paid a price for our lives. Continuously bled on the soils of this earth, for you and I. Just so that we will not perish here, but have everlasting life. Now if you ask me, that’s the true meaning of love. And now it’s yours and my choice to take this word onto the rest of the world.
If you choose to accept, how will you know when this mission is finished? Well the answer is simple, if you’re alive, then its not. But I find no greater calling than to love God, love people, and to love life.
“Now let the weak say I have strength, by the spirit of power that raised Christ from the dead. Let now our hearts burn with a flame, a fire consuming all for your Son’s Holy Name and with the heavens we declare, you are our King.
We love you Lord, we worship you. You are our God, You alone are good. You asked your son to carry this, the heavy cross, our weight of sin. I love you Lord, I worship You; hope which was lost, now stands renewed. I give my life to honor this, the love of Christ, the Savior King.”
God bless

The boy and his boat
Hello, It is going to be easter in 7 days time. While we don't have snowflakes, Easter trees or gift exchange, we received something from Jesus - An open door to Salvation.
I've got here a little story about (as what the title says). This is not an original story, but it is truly inspiring for me personally. And I created the title because the story didn't have one.
The boy and his boat
There was a boy who likes to build and construct small models. One day he built a small boat and right immediately he went to the beach to test out his new boat. It works, but the ocean waves soon carry the small little boat further and further away from the beach and far into the ocean. It was too far and dangerous to retrieve it back. Sadly the boy went home.
Not long after that, he was shopping around and he passed by a toy shop. To his amazement, he saw a small little boat. A closer look confirmed that it was his boat. He was filled with joy. A few weeks later, with much hard work, he manage to save up the amount and quickly went to the toy shop to purchase the boat.
When he was out of the shop filled with joy, he told that small little boat, "now you are twice mine. I made you and now I bought you with a price."
In the same way, not only did God created us, he send his son to redeem us.

Have a good blessed Easter everyone =)
